Since 2006, BIC offices in Beijing, Jincheng and Zhengzhou have organized the trees planting activities to contribute to environmental protection and instill environmental awareness among their employees.

In 2011, employees from Beijing, Jincheng, and Zhengzhou Office, as well as the three power plants joined forces to collect used batteries so that they can be destroyed in an environmentally sound manner. The BIC's activity successfully collected as many as 8,619 used batteries within three months which were properly destroyed at Beijing's toxic waste treatment center under Beijing's Environmental Conservation Office in October 2011.

In order to enhance employees' environmental protection awareness and practice the ESG concept of Banpu, in April 2024, Beijing office organized a beach cleaning activity along the Wenyu River. More than 40 employees participated in the activity, and a total of 28 kilograms of garbage were cleared and collected.
