At BIC, we regard safety production as our first priority. Following the safety policy of “safety first, prevention-oriented, integrated control”, we provide a healthy and safe workplace for our employees and contractors and reduce workplace injury. In this respect, we strive to achieve our “3 Zero” goals: Zero Incident, Zero Repeat and Zero Compromise.

ZERO Incident: by preventing and correcting unsafe behavior or work conditions;

ZERO Repeat: by taking all necessary steps to prevent the recurrence of any incident;

ZERO Compromise: by adopting non-negotiable safety standards and rules throughout all operations.

Manages Safety Risks

We perform occupational health and safety risk assessment for all operational activities. In all operations, no work must be taken without a clear understanding of safe working practices that minimize risk.


Creates a Culture of Safety

We promote a culture that values and recognizes good safety behaviors and practices throughout the value chain.


It is the company requirement that,

Management in all levels must be held accountable and take leadership in deploying this policy.

Every employee must be aware of, promote and implement this policy.

Every employee is expected to extend the awareness and recognition of this policy to partners, suppliers, contractors, sub-contractors, customers and the communities whom BIC works with.

Business Continuity Management


At Banpu China, we are committed to providing the quality products and services with reliability in order to build sustainable value for our shareholders, customers, business partners, employees and communities. These are the part of our risk management and sustainable development policy. Business Continuity Management (BCM) helps manage risks to the smooth running and sustainable of business, by ensuring that the critical activities can be continued in the event of internal/external business interruption or disruptions such as man-made or natural disaster, failure of utilities, fatal or serious injury, epidemic or pandemic, fire, flood and etc.


To fulfil such commitment, BCM will need to be fully integrated into our business processes and activities. Our BCM objectives are to recover critical business functions and key business systems and process within a suitable timeframe, and continue of products and/or service at the acceptable level. To accomplish these goals, we ensure the ability to respond risks by:

● Conducting business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessment (RA)

● Providing cost-effective prevention, mitigation, response and recovery arrangements at the acceptable level

● Establishing, implementing and maintaining the Business Continuity Plan (BCP)

● Ensuring our BCM resources are of necessary competence and awareness

● Satisfying the applicable regulations, contracts and other requirements related to the BCM, including a conformity to ISO22301: BCMS

● Continuously improving the effectiveness of our Business Continuity


BCM is a vital part of business protection programme and must be implemented and maintained to protect our organization, people, brand, reputation and benefit of stakeholders. It is the responsibility and accountability of each business unit to develop, implement, maintain and improve the BCM. This commitment will be achieved through collaboration, accountability and leadership in all levels of management, and it is a regular agenda for the executives to demonstrate the importance of this subject.
