Zouping Power Plant holds the 20th anniversary celebration and the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Banpu and Xiwang

On May 7, 2021, Zouping power plant held the 20th anniversary celebration of the company and the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between Banpu and Xiwang in joint development of new energy. Upon invitation of Mr. Chairat Chanhom, Country Head of Banpu China, Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Thai Ambassador to China and his wife, Mrs. Kamoltip Srisamoot, Miss Nabhasporn Bhuttarichval, Consul General of Thailand to Qingdao, Mr. Sun Yebao, Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Mr. Li Fengzhang,Vice Mayor of Binzhou City, Mr. Hu Yunjiang, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Zouping City, Mr. Wang Yong, representative of Chinese shareholder of Xiwang Group and other leaders and guests attended the celebration and the signing ceremony.

Mr. Li Fengzhang, Vice Mayor of Binzhou City and Mr. Pi Taitian, Party Secretary of Zouping Municipal Party Committee, had meetings with the Ambassador Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot and his delegation respectively, welcoming Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot and his wife to visit Zouping.

After the meeting, Mr. Chairat and the leaders came to the plant together to plant trees of friendship and release peace doves, hoping that the Sino-foreign joint venture Zouping power plant and friendship between China and Thailand will grow like a thriving magnolia tree, with flourishing branches and evergreen foundation.Afterwards, the leaders visited the power plant to understand and experience the production and operation of the plant. Being informed that Zouping Peak Cogen Co. Ltd was established in 2001, after 20 years of development, the plant has expanded from 2 furnaces and 2 turbines of 50 MW to the current 6 furnaces and 5 turbines with a total installed capacity of 125 MW, as a Sino-foreign CHP joint venture integrating cooling, heating and electricity, the company has made outstanding contributions in guaranteeing heat and electricity supply for Xiwang Group and supporting regional economic and social development. With excellent business performance and respectable society image, the company has been awarded the honorary titles of “Top 100 Star Enterprise with Overseas Chinese Capital”,  “Star Enterprise on Implementing Excellence Performance Mode in Chinese Power Industry”, “Top 100 Energy-conservation and Environmental-protection Enterprises in Electric Power Industry” and "National Top 100 Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Enterprises in Thermal Power Industry", truly achieving win-win development in shareholders' profit, customers' benefit, contribution to society and employees' growth, the guests thumbed up for the corporate management of Zouping plant and the fruitful results of Sino-foreign cooperation.

At the ceremony, on behalf of Banpu Group and Zouping Peak Cogen Co. Ltd, Mr. Chairat Chanhom expressed his respect and gratitude for the support of China's reform and opening-up policy and local provincial and municipal party committees and governments, the concern of Ambassador Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot and other Thai envoys to China, the sincere cooperation of shareholders and the dedication of employees. He said, China's higher level of opening up and the excellent business environment created by Shandong Province, Binzhou City and Zouping City have increased our confidence to explore the Chinese market more deeply, and Xiwang Group is the best partner that has long been tested. For the next step, Banpu will continue to work together with Xiwang to deepen the cooperation between the two parties, promote the trend of the times, develop solar energy and other clean energy, and make positive contributions to the realization of China's "carbon peaking, carbon neutralization" goal. The development of the past 20 years has fully verified the fruitful achievements of the cooperation between the two sides. Banpu Group will work together with everyone to write a more brilliant chapter.

Ltd, and gave full affirmation and high expectation to the joint development of new energy between Xiwang and Banpu, and jointly witnessed the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation in new energy development between Banpu and Xiwang Group.
