BIC management visits government leaders of Luannan County and participates in education support activities

On May 28th, just before the International Children's Day, in the company of Ma Guoxiang, General Manager of Luannan Power Plant, Mr. Chairat Chanhom, Head of Banpu China and his delegation met the leaders of the party committee and county government of Luannan, visited the students and teachers of Luannan Banpu Special Education and participated in the donation ceremony, at the same time, launched the education support program for needy students in Luannan County.

In the meeting room of Luannan County Administration Office Center, Ms. Lv Suqing, Luannan County Party Secretary, Mr. Hou Xinhong, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the County Government and other leaders met with Mr. Chairat and his delegation. Mr. Chairat expressed appreciation to the Luannan party committee and the county government for their continuous support to Luannan plant, especially for supporting Luannan plant to obtain the new power generation business license and arranging medical staff to vaccinate the plant employees on site. Ms. Lv and Mr. Hou extended welcome to Mr. Chairat and BIC team and appreciation to Luannan plant for its outstanding contribution to the economic and social development of Luannan County over the years. Both parties had in-depth discussion on the biomass power generation project and other renewable energy projects in the future.

After the meeting, Mr. Chairat and BIC team went to Luannan Banpu Special Education School, visited the students and teachers and participated in the donation activity.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Chairat said, Luannan Banpu Special Education School has made substantial progress since its establishment, thanks to the support of the government at all levels, and the efforts and sweat of the school leaders and teachers. Luannan Power Plant has provided supports to the school for 14^thconsecutive years since 2008, helping the school to improve the learning and living conditions of the students. In the future, Luannan plant will continue to provide practical support to the school and contribute to the development of the school and healthy growth of the children.

Mr. Zhang Chunbo, Vice Mayor of Luannan County, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Banpu for its continuous support to Luannan Banpu Special Education School as well as the educational development of Luannan County.

This year, Luannan plant donates 6 laptops and 105 sets of school uniforms to the school, valued at RMB 50,000. Moreover, in order to further support educational cause of Luannan County and help needy students, Luannan plant officially launched the educational support project for needy students at the event. On behalf of Banpu, Mr. Chairat donated RMB 50,000 to the Education Bureau of Luannan County, with an aim to improve the learning and living conditions of the needy students and support them to finish school.

After the donation ceremony, the participants went to the school's language rehabilitation training room, cooking room and multi-sensory rehabilitation room to visit the students' studying, living and vocational skills, they were deeply impressed by the students' spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement and optimism.

As always, Luannan Power Plant will adhere to the guidance of Banpu ESG strategy, integrate corporate social responsibility into its business management, grow together with the local community, actively give back to the society, and make long-term contributions to the economic and social development of Luannan County.
