Consul-General of Royal Thai in Shanghai and Zhejiang Provincial government officials visit Deyuan Solar Farm

On March 1, at the invitation of Banpu Investment (China) Ltd, Ms. Prinat Apirat , Consul-General of Royal Thai in Shanghai and her delegation, Mr. Shi Huazhong, Inspector at Level 2 of the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Province, and Mr. Fu Tao, Principal Staff Member of the Planning Section of the Energy Administration of Zhejiang Province, etc. made an inspection and investigation tour to Jiaxing Deyuan Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. (Deyuan Solar Farm). Mr. Pilun Pochanart, CEO of Banpu China, and Mr. Prakay Yoknamngoen, Deputy Head of Power Operations, accompanied the visit.

Mr, Pilun extended a warm welcome to all the guests and sincere appreciation to Royal Thai Consulate in Shanghai as well as Zhejiang government agencies at all levels for their supports to Deyuan Solar Farm. He expects that through this valuable opportunity, the guests will have a deeper understanding of Banpu's project, the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation and seek for new cooperation opportunities in the future, he also hopes to get continuous supports from both the Consulate General and the local government to jointly promote the development of clean energy.

Ms. Prinat Apirat said that Banpu is not only at the forefront of Thailand and Southeast Asia in energy industry, but also has extensive energy investments around the world, including the construction of new energy power plants in China. Banpu has been actively involved in ESG (Environmental, Social and governance) activities, committed to fulfilling social responsibilities, and has made positive contributions to the sustainable development of society. She expressed her appreciation for the care and support given by Chinese government authorities at all levels to Thai enterprises in Zhejiang. She said that such mutual support has not only promoted bilateral cooperation in trade and economic fields, but also strengthened cultural exchanges, providing strong support for the in-depth development of bilateral relations.

Afterwards, the guests visited Deyuan Solar Farm by boats. Bruce Xiao, Vice President of Solar Operations, and Kodchaporn Sakidjai, Manager of External Relations, introduced the operation of Deyuan Solar Farm in details to the guests and answered their questions about solar industry policies and technologies they were interested in. The three parties had in-depth and friendly exchanges and enhanced mutual understanding.
